Hi Colin & Martin (My 'Tandem' Instructor),

I would like to confirm, my delight in undertaking my very first tandem parachute jump today - in aid of Age Concern Cheshire (the charity I work for at present).

I felt at all times, calm and reassured about my jump, especially with Martin, who I also met a couple of weeks before, for my first harness fitting. I was even more reassured, when I found out Martin was also going to be my instructor for my jump.

I would have no hesitation, in completing my second jump (again tandem), but also in recommending any of my family, friends, work colleagues to also undertake a jump, hopefully sooner rather than later. So I would like to thank you both for today and to confirm that my 'disability' this time, and hopefully in the future, will again not stop me from carrying out one of the greatest achievements of my life.

Today I will remember forever, also I will be able to recall this event with all my family, friends and work colleagues who also came to see me, for years to come.

Thank you, once again, for all your help and support.

Re. Tandem Jump 11^th May 2007 (last Friday)

Dear Sirs,

I am dropping you a line to thank you very much for the Tandem jump experience last Friday.

I have no doubt you have heard it many times before BUT …

It was my first time and I was totally scared witless !!!!!

Skydiving is something that I had wanted to do for a great many years and the experience was totally awesome – both terrifying and exciting in both extremes at the same time.

I would especially like to thank everyone for making the entire experience very enjoyable;

Simon and the chief instructor (sorry, due to losing a mass of brain cells in the freefall I have forgotten his name) were extremely helpful in resolving the difficulties with the medical certificate (with which they ultimately triumphed) and I am eternally grateful for their efforts.

The video that Simon produced is most excellent and I sincerely appreciate his efforts. At 10000 feet I watched him climb out of the plane and, hanging on with one hand from the outside, he continued to film …….. I cannot comprehend how anyone (sane or otherwise) could even consider climbing out of an aeroplane and then “hang on” ! No doubt he will make an excellent study for the medical community in later years J

Lastly, I would especially like to thank Tony who instructed me, and fell out of the sky with me attached to his belly. His instructions were clear and very informative and much appreciated. As is probably the case with most first time jumpers, I forgot everything he taught me the very moment my arse left the plane and although I would never had accepted that anyone could have any wits about them having just fallen out of a plane finding themselves hurtling towards the ground at a vast rate of knots, Tony’s were intact. He made me feel entirely safe the whole time even to the point of maintaining a steady plummet whilst we were “dive-bombed” by a strange “man-bird” type creature with a camera strapped to his head J

Although my wife was pre-occupied with how to buy a cup of tea and Simon’s dog, she also had a fantastic time and anyone and anything that can pre-occupy one’s wife for any length of time is often worth their weight in gold J

In all, the whole experience was superb and was strengthened greatly by the charisma and camaraderie of all the staff (aka. Madmen Jumpers!)

I did a tandem jump with you on Saturday 28th April and words cannot describe the feeling. You were all wonderful and added to the absolute enjoyment of my day.

I would highly recommend you to anybody and look forward to jumping with you again. Next time I may even convince my cowardly husband to give it a try!

I have been watching the DVD over and over again. I cannot believe I did it at my age. (1 am boring the family already :-) )

Just a few words to say Thank You for your help and support on my Tandem jump. It was a wonderful experience. One I will never forget.

I was absolutely terrified on the day, but was everyone was so friendly, supportive and professional. It is a day I will never forget.
